Great Resources to Raise Resilient Children

This week, we are discussing how we can develop healthy parenting styles in order to help raise our children to become resilient-- also known as adaptable, confident, and able to adjust well to life's ups and downs.  We have learned what resilience is, how to teach and mold a child to be resilient, as well as how emotional resiliency is learned through the naming and expression of feelings.

Today, we will recommend further resources for additional reading on this topic.  After all, children don't come with a manual, so parenting resources can be invaluable.  Especially if we are trying to teach our child/children something that we are learning right along side of them!

For additional resources, we recommend reading the following books:

The Gift of Failure by Jessica Lahey

Raising Resilient Children by Robert Brooks & Sam Goldstein

The Difficult Child by Stanley Turecki & Leslie Tonner

Your Competent Child by Jesper Juul
