Things You Need To Remove From Your Life

If you follow the MLB, you probably already know that in 2008 the Tampa Bay Devil Rays became the Tampa Bay Rays. They removed the "Devil" from their name. With the help of my wonderful husband, he provided me with some stats I believe are important: during 1998-2007 the TB Devil Rays had a Winning Percentage of about 40%; they finished in last place 9 years and 4th place once. Since becoming the TB Rays in 2008, they've had a Winning Percentage of 58%; finished 1st Place in 2008 and lost in the World Series to the Phillies; in 2009 finished 3rd; and in 2010 after 46 games played thus far, they have the best record in the league! Now, what do the Tampa Bay Rays have to do with marriage and therapy? It's about removing what doesn't seem to be working in the first place. This baseball team wanted to re-invent themselves and wanted a new beginning without being tied to their past. They respected where they came from and who helped them get there. However, they realized it wasn't working anymore! They knew they needed a name change and new team colors and uniforms.

Have you ever felt that way in your marriage or your life? Have you ever taken a good hard look at it and realized, "This isn't working anymore, but I don't know what to do?" Well, this week, Imagine Hope is going to go over some of the things we see in marriages (and life in general) that need to be REMOVED in order for individuals and marriages to be successful. Maybe you're caught up in a negative thinking pattern, nag too much, or are overly critical. Or, maybe you have an addiction or are having an affair that needs to be removed in order for your life or marriage to get back to it's winning percentage.

Would you like to honor the past but start with a new beginning? How would you like for that re-invention to look for yourself? Please keep reading as Imagine Hope will go over some very important things you can remove in order to inspire hope for your life and relationships.
