How to Create Fireworks In Your Marriage - It matters when you're apart

Ever receive a small gift or thank-you note unexpectedly? Remember how special it felt to receive it? The same applies in marriage too. Let your spouse know you're thinking of them when you're apart. Figure out your mate's love language and run with it! If your spouse is someone whose love language is Verbal Affirmations, then send positive, loving texts to them throughout the day, or write a note that they can find in the morning while they're getting ready for work.

If your spouse is a Physical Touch type of a person, make coupons to give them a foot or back massage. Or, maybe you schedule to do something your spouse has been mentioning they'd love to do (if they're big on Quality Time).

Have a spouse who is big on Acts of Service? While they're away, mow the yard, cook dinner, or do laundry if that's usually their responsibility in the household. When they return, they'll feel very relieved and very loved.

The key is to get out of a marital "rut" and to get them wondering what you're up to. We're trying to create a spark here, right?!

You may not enjoy doing these things, but the purpose is to do things that reaches your spouse's heart, and to get those fireworks going again.

But, there's more you can do! Check back in as we have several more tips for creating fireworks in your marriage. Thanks for reading!
