Is Your Life Balanced? Spirituality & Romance

Life is constantly changing. Whether it's a move, addition to the family, or career change. How well we handle the change in our lives depends upon how well we are personally balanced. As Teri pointed out yesterday, a good balanced life can help fight off depression and illness. Hopefully you're able to assess these areas this week to see if there is any re-adjustment that needs to be made in your life. Personal Growth/Spirituality

This category includes anything you do to better yourself. Whether that be attend church, pray, meditate, regularly read self-help books, go to therapy sessions to work on bettering yourself emotionally & mentally, or attend a 12-step program or group. Doing anything that you believe betters yourself on a regular basis helps to center and ground an individual from the daily stresses of life, and learn good coping skills.

Significant Other/Romance

Research has repeatedly suggested that companionship has great mental health benefits. Having too high a number on this, however can be just as unhealthy as too low of a number. Remember to find companionship in friendships, without relying exclusively on your significant other to fill the void. If you are in a relationship, spend quality time together and work on improving communication and an intimate connection. If you are single, work on improving your relationship with yourself. Treat yourself like you would your significant other! If you are single and looking to date,  there are many things you can do that not only better yourself, but help you meet people in the process. I hope you're starting to get a good sense of where you have balance, and where you possibly need some re-adjustment. If you're seeing alot of balance, keep up the good work.
