Have You Met Your Goals? Part 3

All week we've been discussing roadblocks that may have gotten in the way to meeting those new year's resolutions, and how to overcome them. We're past the half-way mark of the year, but that doesn't mean throwing in the towel.

Although the year is flying by, that doesn't mean we scrap those great intentions we had in January. Did you want to lose weight? Save money? Get organized? Spend time with the family? Switch careers? Go back to school? Whatever your goal was then, there is still so much time left! Don't believe me? Well, here's the cold hard facts: It's July 7th. That means there's 171 days left in the year. That breaks down into 24 weeks. This is a long time!

If your goal was to lose weight, you could still reasonably/safely lose 10-15 lbs. If you wanted to save money, putting back $10 a week would give you $240 by the end of the year. If you wanted to go back to school, you could start the paperwork now, and begin winter semester.

We all want to see results in our life & in order to see those results, we have to put in the work. It's going to require getting uncomfortable to meet your goals. This means you may have to turn off the TV or cut someone off the phone to get your goal achieved. Or, maybe you have to leave things undone at work or at home to meet your goal. At the same time, you might have to say "no" to someone, make someone angry or disappoint your children in order to see the results you need in your life. We're not saying to become selfish, but we are saying you might have to go through a little "pain" in order to achieve the results you want.

So, what are you going to accomplish in the next 171 days?
